HOMEMAKERS Cafe
HOMEMAKERS Cafe, run by the Hitoyama farm "HOMEMAKERS."
Enjoy a menu made with lively vegetables grown with care and without pesticides.
A dining and kitchen you share with other guests.
Bring local fresh vegetables, fish, and rice to the table with simple cooking.
Cook eat together
A kitchen with a striking large counter made from the island's reclaimed wood. Three to five people can cook at once—washing rice while steaming vegetables and plating sashimi. As the dishes come together, drinks begin too. "What shall we make next?" you say, and the time spent cooking flows slowly by. Gaze at the mountains and village bathed in dusk through the window, and enjoy an evening full of conversation and cooking with your companions.
Tools
Steaming is perfect for Shodoshima's white fish and vegetables.
Place them in the steamer, sprinkle some salt, and add a drizzle of olive oil for a wonderful feast.
The soy sauce and salt are made on Shodoshima, and we have gathered other carefully selected seasonings too. We chose them out of a wish for you to enjoy the simple flavors of the ingredients.
Hand-dripped coffee is exceptional. We have a full coffee set so you can enjoy a moment in the morning or evening. (We also sell coffee beans.)
On Shodoshima, which has no sewage system, detergent flows straight into the rivers. For both dishes and laundry, we use birds natural detergent, which cycles harmlessly between people and nature.

Nearby
Nearby eateries and shops are easy to use as well. However, since this is a small island, many shops keep short hours, so we recommend checking ahead or making a reservation.
